Rosalie E Ferner
Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust London
I am consultant and Professor of Neurology at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London, and a trustee of the lay UK Neuro Foundation. In 2016 I was the recipient of the European Theodor Schwann award for contributions to neurofibromatosis (NF). I am the national lead for the multi-disciplinary Complex NF1 service, funded by NHS England. I was the London lead for the national NF2 service from 2010-2014.
My interests include defining the clinical phenotype of the neurofibromatoses including NF1, NF2 and schwannomatosis, improving the diagnosis of NF1 associated malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumours, and the development of robust clinical and patient centred outcome measures for monitoring therapy.
An overview of the diagnosis, surveillance and management of neurofibromatosis 1, Neurofibromatosis 2 and schwannomatosis.
